everyone takes their own storm

everyone
for a time
lives in the sea they have created for themselves
then
one day
they crash into shores drawn by others
they crash into those shores
so hard
that they are trapped,
unable to return
a lifetime passes
the pebbles cut deep
they pray
for a strong wave to become their savior
days pass
and that wave does come
but it is a storm
everyone
takes their own storm
for a savior
but
that storm only destroys
it sweeps them away
and then
no one
ever sees anyone again
